2002 Pistons Graduating Seniors
A Special Tribute
2002 Pistons graduates (left to right)
Cory Echols, Chris Thompson, Coach Will Stasiuk, George Jefferson & Anthony Samuels.
"For the 3rd consecutive season I have had the pleasure of coaching a group of wonderful
senior student-athletes who graduated from High School on time. (Which unfortunately
in this time and educational climate is not a given.) These four
young men, not only graduated, but represented their school and themselves
in superior fashion both in school and in the classroom. All four have
been accepted into college for the fall of 2002. Futhermore, Chris Thompson graduated as
the class salutatorian (# 2 ranked student) and earned an academic scholarship top LIU and
George Jefferson, who had earned a full NCAA basketball scholarship to
St. Peter's College, graduated the class Valedictorian (# 1 ranked student).
All four of these young men will be missed. It is my hopes that their
fine examples serve for our future players."
