Note # 1: The PSAL has traditionally awarded the IRON HORSE award to the male voted the best senior athlete in his sport that season.
Note # 2:The Iron Horse was selected through the votes of coaches, officials and ultimately the PSAL sports commissioner.
Note # 3:In 2001 the PSAL Wingate Fund and the Heisman Foundation took over sponsorship of the awards. Coaches in each respective sport vote for the top senior athlete from whoever is nominated that season. All the winners are then honored at an awards breakfast sponsored the above mentioned. It is by far fast become one of the greatest events the PSAL has become associated with.
